Iranian daily Kargozaran was closed last Wednesday for “white-washing the crimes of zionism” in Gaza and describing Hamas a “terrorist group.” Kargozaran is a newspaper run by Islamic “reformers” that are excluded from the government of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. For banning the newspaper, the Iranian Ministry of Culture referred to a statement published in the same newspaper by the reformist group “Office to Boost Unity” saying that “responsible for the current tragedy in Gaza are those who arm the parties with missiles, bombs and ammunition and do not allow any room for dialogue and understanding.”
