today there was a huge demonstration with attendance of more than one million people supporting Mr Moussavi (Ahmadinejad's rival) in tehran.
This demonstration was unprecedented since the Islamic Revelotion (30 years ago).

I'm from Iran. The rural community in Iran consists only 30% of the overall population and not all of them are in favor of Ahmadinejad. the turnout in this election was so high and the people came to vote in order to change the bad situation (both economical and political) which is because of Ahmadinejad's policies.I live in a small town in the south of Iran and most of the voters cast ballot for Mr Mussavi (ahmadinejad's rival). Mr Mussavi has many supporters not only in Tehran but in most of cities and also some rural regions. The huge crowd campaigned in streets of most cities to support Mussavi in the days before the election proves his high rate of popularity between persian people. The reports from the polls across the country say Mussavi is the winner but officials in the interior ministry (which is controlled by Ahmadinejad) rigged vote and called Ahmadinejad the winner. The interesting issue is that the percentage of Ahmadinejad's votes were constant (near 60%) during the counting of ballot papers and this is impossible because at least in large cities the number of Mussavi's supporters are two or three times to Ahmadinejad's. Although in the previous elections the number of votes cast for every candidate in each region (each province, each city) was announced, in current election only the overall votes (in the country) was announced. all the evidence signifies a big cheat in this election.
This is really a coup against Iranian people.

Certainlly it's not our place to judge Iran's electoral process.

In our own country we had Bush v. Gore, a highly questionable election.

Furthermore, stepping into other countries political processes is a Bush style move, and not something appropriate to Obama. Bush is the one who refused to meet with people, like the Myanmar government, and instead met with opposition leaders. That kind of thing just radicalizes the regimes. We need to respect the result of this and engage Iran - not impose our will on them.

Just remember: Tehran is NOT Iran and those people protesting the election results are merely a bunch of poor losers unable to cope with the realities of their own country (typically young, suburban, middle and upper class). The Supreme Leader should place the nation under Martial Law and I can guarantee this show will be over in a couple of days; the Islamic Republic needs to put its entire attention on real and sensitive issues such as the impending Israeli strike on Iran's nuclear facilities.Iran's troubling economy is NOT Ahmadinejad's fault (if you understand a little bit of micro and macro economics and the effects of current international sanctions, you will be able to grasp this) and social reforms are beyond his scope of duties. Congratulations to President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad for his indisputable electoral triumph.
